Jacqui Francis is a recent transplant to Houston, TX and creator of Jacqui's Gourmet, an authentic product line of Jamaican influences sauces and seasonings.
Prior to venturing into the retail distribution industry she spent twenty seven years in the hospitality industry operating restaurants and catering businesses in Jamaica and Houston. She also catered as the exclusive chef of the Jamaican Prime Minister for over ten years.
Jacqui created Jacqui’s Gourmet with the goal of exposing the finer side of Jamaica’s cuisine and culture.
Custom dishes created with her signature blends allow users to have an authentic experience of her dishes, while benefiting from the health components of the natural ingredients. She prides herself on using the finest and freshest ingredients to create tasty blends reminiscent of the flavors that reflect Jamaica’s diverse population; a mixture of Asians, Indians and Africans.
Jacqui is originally a product of Kingston, Jamaica.
She has been nominated Best Caterer five years in a row by the Jamaica Observer, the national newspaper; her recipes have been published in several in Jamaican and international magazines; she has appeared on Great Day Houston, CW 39 Chew on This and has been recipient of the International Woman of the Year Award from the Texas Women’s Forum in 2011. Jacqui’s most recent award in 2015 was HEB Primo Picks. When she is not cooking, she enjoys time with family, travel and compiling her cookbook.
